ECHOES Baseline Study in Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire

Entry: Charlie Feezel, World Cocoa Foundation Late last month the ECHOES team conducted a baseline study. We worked with teachers, farmers, households and community leaders to survey the current level of education and skills in the area surrounding Sefwi Wiwaso, in the Western Region of Ghana as well as a number of communities in Côte d’Ivoire. The tabulations of the study will help us measure the success of the ECHOES program which is designed to improve opportunities for youth and young adults in cocoa growing communities in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
